Greater Love Childbirth Education

Birth can hold a lot of unknowns, but that doesn’t mean you need to go into it feeling unprepared. Personally, the more I learn, the more comfortable and less anxious I feel — and that is exactly what my hope is for you at the end of our class. From home birth to scheduled cesarean and everything in between, Greater Love Childbirth Education will meet you where you are and provide the comprehensive education, practical tools, and hands-on practices you need to make the decisions that are right for you and help you feel prepared for your upcoming birth and transition into parenthood. Greater Love Childbirth Education can be accessed in two different ways: as a 6-week group class or as a private 1-1 class with you and your family. Greater Love Childbirth Education is inclusive, affirming, trauma-informed, and recognizes individuals and families across the spectrum of reproductive and family-building experiences. My definition of family includes but is not limited to: single parents, intended parents + surrogates, queer and trans parents, polyamorous families, married parents, co-parents, and anything in-between and beyond.

Every journey to parenthood is unique and welcome here!

In addition to the live classes, students will receive :

  • access to a Google Drive with curated resources, a suggested reading list, and class slides

  • an optional 45 minute 1-on-1 with Tori to answer any questions or get feedback on birth/postpartum planning

“Nothing prepares you for labor. As a scientist, I acquired as many resources as possible, one of which said how important labor support is. I read that doulas offer the continuous support that the laboring person needs and this is highly correlated with reduced interventions, c-sections, and an overall "positive" experience. I can truly attest to this finding. I cannot imagine how we would have fared without Tori's support. Tori was always there for us, before, during, and after childbirth. They helped us be informed. The most important thing to us was that they let us make the decisions and did not push us to do anything we were uncomfortable with. As first-time parents, my husband and I both agreed that it took a large amount of stress off our shoulders to know that Tori was with us the whole time.”

Greater Love Childbirth Education can be accessed in two different ways: as a 6-week group class or as a private 1-1 class with you and your family!

Group Class Logistics

  • a 6-week series taught once a week for 2.5 hours (~15 hours, with breaks), plus one “rain date” in the event that I am called to a birth or there is another reason for a class needing to be canceled

  • classes are currently limited to 5 families per series to allow for physical distancing and a more intimate class setting with a minimum of 3 families needed to run the class as planned

  • I would suggest signing up by between 28-30 weeks gestation at the latest in order to (hopefully!) ensure you’ll be able to complete the series before your baby’s arrival

Please see below for upcoming classes and registration details!

Investment: $275/family

Private Class Logistics

A private class may be for you if:

  • you are interested in in-person childbirth education but are not comfortable in a group setting, for any reason

  • there is not a 6-week series available before your estimated due date or in a time frame that works for you

  • you would like a more condensed class that is tailored to you and your family or situation (ex: focuses on homebirth or a planned cesarean, having a class that includes your older kids, etc.)

Private classes are scheduled on demand! Just reach out via my contact form and let me know you’re interested, and we’ll get planning!

Investment: $295/family
