The Andromeda Community Fund is named in honor of Andromeda (Andie), my first baby who I lost at 10 weeks in January 2020, and the support and care that I received from my doula and care team while I was navigating that loss. 💫

The Andromeda Community Fund exists to support Greater Love Birth and Community Care in providing full spectrum doula support and education to individuals and families at low or no cost to them! By helping sustain this fund and my work, you are directly supporting individuals and families in our community and providing access to support and care they may not have otherwise been able to afford. I believe everyone who wants a doula’s support should be able to have it. In addition to donations and the Bonfire store, a portion of the cost of all services, classes, and workshops includes a contribution to this fund.

Here are some examples of how funds from the Andromeda Community Fund have supported Greater Love Birth and Community Care and folks in our community:

  • purchasing lending library items (books, haakas, baby carriers, belly bands, etc.) for clients that they would not otherwise be able to afford

  • paying for gas, parking, and a meal for Tori after they support a client through a loss or while accessing abortion care

  • providing scholarships for folks to attend Greater Love Childbirth Education or Lactation Basics classes

  • sustaining Greater Love Birth and Community Care and allowing Tori to support clients who are accessing care below the flexible fee scale

  • paying for homemade meals and meal train contributions for postpartum families

  • making contributions towards other community-based organizations (ex: Milwaukee Diaper Misson, Maroon Calabash, etc.)

Everyone deserves access to inclusive, affirming, trauma-informed, and person-centered doula support and education.

If you are interested in accessing care through the Andromeda Community Fund, please let me know directly.
