July 2023 // Availability Update

As I’m progressing through my midwifery training, I have made the decision to scale back on offering doula support. I don’t make this decision lightly — I love this work and it is the whole reason I fell in love with birthwork. However, as my time and energy is increasingly going towards becoming a midwife I can no longer give the level of support and care to the amount of clients I am used to working with.

Going forward, I will only have the capacity to offer birth and postpartum doula support to a limited number of clients per year based on the client load of my preceptor’s practice. Additionally, I will only be accepting clients who are repeats (families that I have worked with in the past) and/or from the queer and trans community. I will also be limiting the distance I am able to travel to ~30 minutes from Milwaukee.

Please feel free to reach out and ask for support finding a different doula — I have plenty of amazing doula friends in our area that I would be happy to refer you to! If you were hoping to work with me and are considering a home birth, I highly recommend reaching out to Transitions Birth Services to inquire about availability. While I will not be able to support you as a doula if you hire Lucky as your midwife, you will have me as part of your midwifery team!

I appreciate your support and understanding! <3

“Thank you so much for helping and guiding us on one of the most memorable journeys of our life. Your confidence, knowledge, and compassion put us at ease. With you by our side, we knew that our family was in good hands.”

Full Spectrum Support

"A full-spectrum doula refers to one who gives support to people during birth as well as other realities of pregnancy: miscarriage, lethal fetal anomaly, stillbirth, abortion, and even adoption. I love the way it highlights how we provide support regardless of the pregnancy outcome. It also makes sense to me because a person who starts out their pregnancy planning on birth might instead end up with an abortion, a miscarriage, or an adoption. Why would we turn them away if the outcome changed?”
